There is an entry for Mareham [-le-Fen] [variant spelling] in the Domesday survey [https://opendomesday.org/place/TF2761/mareham-le-fen/] [accessed 24 December 2018]; it reports a priest and a church in it. Pevsner, Harris and Antram (1989) write: "Font. Octagonal, Dec[orated]. Simple panels with low, flat ogee arches, big finials, and heads at the top corners." The entry for this church in Historic England [Listing NGR: TF2783361259] notes: "Parish church. Late C13, early C14, late C14, C15, C16, 1879 partial rebuilding of exterior, 1974 vestry extension [...] built from materials taken from the demolished Church of St. Margaret, Old Woodhall. [...] Fittings are all C19 apart from the octagonal C14 font with trefoils and human heads to the sides, moulded fleurons to rim."
