There are two entries for [Long] Bennington [variant spellings] in the Domesday survey [https://opendomesday.org/place/SK8344/long-bennington/] [accessed 23 December 2018] one of which reports a priest and a church in it. Pevsner, Harris and Antram (1989) note: "Font. Octagonal, plain bowl on three short polygonal pillars. Between the capitals and the underside of the bowl bunches of stiff-leaf. So it seems to be E[arly] E[nglish]." The entry for this church in Historic England [Listing NGR: SK8435843882] notes: "Parish Church. Early C13, C14, C15, C19, restored 1902-3 by Scorer and Gamble. [...] C12 octagonal stone font on short polygonal pillars with polygonal capitals with C12 stiff leaf capitals set above."
