No individual entry found for this Kirkby in the Domesday survey. The entry for this Kirkby St Andrew's in Historic England [Listing NGR: TF0632892780] notes: "Parish Church; early C13, early C14, C15, 1790, restoration dates of 1891, 1900, 1923 [...] The font is C18, a plain circular bowl on a bulbous pedestal." A baptismal font of the 18th century, "hemispherical bowl on a a baluster shaft", is noted in Pevsner, Harris and Antram (1989). [NB: the original part of the church that escaped the Georgian renovation appears to be Norman or Early English, but we have no information on the earlier font(s) of that church] -- The old church of Osgodby, dedicated to St Denys / Denis had decayed and was demolished a long time ago; we have no information on its font.
