There is an entry for Friskney [variant spelling] in the Domesday survey [https://opendomesday.org/place/TF4655/friskney/] [accessed 19 May 2019] but it mentions neither cleric nor church in it. Bond, Harris and Antram (1989) report: "Font. Octagonal, Perp[endicular], rather crude. Quatrefoils on the bowl." The entry for this church in Historic England [Listing NGR: TF4605755400] notes: "Parish church. Late C12, late C13, mid C14, mid C15, restored by W. Butterfield in 1879. [...] C15 octagonal ironstone font, crudely worked, with cusped panels and bowl supported by small head and foliate motifs; octagonal pedestal."
