Reported in Lewis' Dictionary of 1848: "a font of very ancient date, highly ornamented." Noted in Pevsner, Harris and Antram (1989): "Font. Octagonal, Perp[endicular], quite ornate. Heads and fluerons at the foot of the bowl. On the bowl itself shields above upside-down shallow arches with trefoil leaves where they meet (cf. font at Covenham St Mary)."
