Two fonts are repoerted in this church. The baptismal font in use inside consists of a basin decorated with large fleurons in high relief, raised on a columnar base decorated with four figures, one of them clearly St. Peter with key and book, and a round lower base decorated with foliage (?) motifs. The wooden cover that rises over the font consists of an octagonal base the sides of which have a running inscription in German, then a protruding moulded rim and a band of open-work foliage on it; from this base rise eight colonnettes decorated with thin mouldings and connecting with the upper volume, the cover's top, in the same style as the base and topped with open-work carving; the 'cage' created in between top and bottom houses a Baptism of Christ scene, John the Baptist with a baculum in his left hand, Christ with hands gathered in prayer; pointed floral motifs between the colonnettes, both from top and bottom. The whole structure is painted in pink-red and green tones; a second inscription is painted on the lower surface of the canopy [NB: the whole baldaquin structure fell down on 19 June 2020, as reported in the Kirchliche Stiftung Kunst- und Kulturgut [https://stiftungkunstgut.de/rettung-des-taufbaldachins-der-trinitatiskirche-altenhausen/] [accessed 24 July 2023] and was badly damaged; its repair and restoration is planned].
