There is an entry for Bilsby [variant spelling] in the Domesday survey [https://opendomesday.org/place/TF4676/bilsby/] [accessed 25 May 2019] but it mentions neither cleric nor church in it. Pevsner, Harris and Antram (1989) note: "Font. A good C19 piece, octagonal, on a circular shaft and four small shafts with flying arches." The entry for this church in Historic England [Listing NGR: TF4664676716] notes: "Parish church. C15, mid C18. [...] ll fittings are C20 apart from the C19 octagonal font with pillared base." [NB: we have no information on the earlier font of this church]
