In Orrin (1988) as an octagonal mounted font of the 19th century [NB: Lewis' Dictionary of 1833 describes the church as "an ancient and venerable structure", but we have no information on the earlier font(s) of this church]. A plan of this church interior by the RCAHM, showing the location of the font in it, is reproduced in Orrin (1988). The entry for this church in Wikipedia [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Church_of_the_Holy_Cross,_Cowbridge] [accessed 2 July 2025] notes: "The font is a plain octagonal bowl which tapers down to a roll moulding, it is believed to be 14th century."
