Baptismal font consisting of an octagonal basin raised on and octagonal stem and lower base, all decorated with a few mouldings but otherwise plain; the surface of the stone(?) has been painted to imitate (poorly) marble. The wooden font cover is said [locally] to have been made by soldiers of one of the World Wars [NB: there was an RAF base at Croft and a camp in Burtonwood in the 1950s].
