Noted and illustrated in Thurlby (2006) as "especially interesting" in that it appears to incorporate a range of decorative elements that are found in a wide of Welsh fonts of the period: "the tub shape is in keeping with many of the Anglesey fonts [...] and the uncarved section of the bowl relates to Cerrig Ceinwen, Llanbeulan, Llechcynfarwy, Newborough and Trefdraeth, as well as to one side of the square font at Penmon". The saltire motif on this font, adds Thurlby (ibid.), may be related to "from the simple designs at Trefdraeth, Llangaffo and Llelchynfarwy [sic] [...] to more involved patterns at Penmon, Cerrigceinwen and Newborough. The trefoiled foliage on one of the sides Thurlby (ibid.) refers to related motifs on the fonts at Llantrisant, Llangeinwen and Llanidan, and argues that the "foliage forms at Llangwyllog and Llantrisant would be more at home in the last third of the twelfth century", than in the 13th century as the RCAHM had suggested earlier.
