Font Notes:
Noted and illustrated in Thurlby (2006), with reference to the font at nearby Llanbadrig: "A simpler, square version of an arcaded font is at Llanfechell [...] with two arches on each side [...] Here the rough finish of the stone makes one think of the application of a thin film of plaster and paint and the possibility of figures painted beneath the arches, as on Romanesque fonts in the Rhineland." Each side contains a pair of connected round arches framed in a thick moulded panel.
