Pevsner (1984) notes the later font: "With cover. Marble, attractive, 1796" [NB: parts of the edifice date back to the 14th century, but we have no information of the original font of this church]. The entry for this church in Historic England [Listing NGR: SK6021610989], however, notes: "II Parish Church. Basically C13 and C14 but much restored", and mentions no font in it at all.
