Font Notes:
An 1861 plan of the interior of this church [source: www.churchplansonline.org] show a font located in the west end of the nave, on the north side, opposite the south entrance. The font is described and illustrated in Thurlby (2006) [NB: the photographs of the fonts at Llanvapley and Llandewi Skirrid [figs. 246 & 247] appear to have been switched by mistake]. The font consists of a hemispherical basin plain but for a band of saw-tooth pattern on the upper basin side. The base, a central shaft with four atteched slender colonnettes, is, as suggested in Thurlby (ibid.), probably of a later date.
