Noted in Palol (1967) as a composite ornamental object consisting of a rectangular baptismal font perhaps originally from Cordoba, a small capitel below it, all raised on a pedestal. The object, notes Palol (ibid.), does probably not belong together but the style of three pieces is uniform [the object turned up in the antiquities market and was by Palol's time [ca. 1967] already in the Museo Arqueológico Nacional, Madrid. [NB: the acanthus (?) branches of the small capital are very similar to those on the font indexed in BSI as Sevilla No. 1].
