Font Notes:
The baptismal font, located in the west end of the nave, just inside the north door, appears to be of a composite nature: the octagonal basin, of shallow sides but with a tall concave underbowl, may be late medieval and certainly appears very weathered and battered, especially around the upper rim; not so the columnar base, that may perhaps date from the Victorian restoration [1874]. The whole is raised on an octagonal plinth. Illustrated in context in Thurlby (2006)
