Described in Mee (1945): "The font has an octagonal cover with 14th century foliage carved on panels in which the red and green paint of the medieval artist is fading away." [NB: is the font from the same date? The fabric of the building goes back to the 12th century]. A "Drawing of front elevation and plan view of the font at Upper Heyford church" is recorded in Scran [ID: 000-000-653-960-C] Resource Rights Holder: Northamptonshire Libraries and Information Service (X4L RAPID)] [www.scran.ac.uk]. Not mentioned in Pevsner & Cherry (1973). The entry for this church in Historic England [Listing NGR: SP6596058714] notes: "Church. C13, C14, C16; restored and reseated 1855 [...] Font with plain round bowl and C17 octagonal, pyramidal, cover with ball finial."
