Baptismal font of on of the East Anglian types of this period: the octagonal basin has angels holding shields alternating with sedente-regardant lions; the inside well of the basin is lead-lined and there is evidence of cover hardware on the upper rim surface; the lower rim of the basin has cherub heads decorating the angles; the sides of the stem appear to have sedente lions, some badly damaged; it is raised on a small octagonal plinth. Recent photographs of the font can be found at eImage.net [www.eimagesite.net] and in the Suffolk Churches web site [www.suffolkchurches.co.uk].
