There is an entry for this Loffington [variant spelling] in the Domesday survey [http://opendomesday.org/place/SP8178/loddington/] [accessed 18 August 2015], but it mentions neither cleric nor church in it. A font here is noted in Mee (1945): "the barrel-shaped font has criss-cross pattern round the edge of the bowl, which is medieval." English Heritage [Listing NGR: SP8146278355] (1957) rewports a "C12 round font with
latticed top band" in this church. Not mentioned in Pevsner & Cherry (1973)
