Noted in Mee (1945) as a "plain round font" from the large Norman church that replaced the earlier Saxon building, of which only "a round arch blocked in the north arcade" has survived. The entry for this church in Historic England [Listing NGR: SP6326654257] notes: "Church. C13, C14, some work of C15; restored 1883 [...] Plain round font with C17 octagonal pyramidal cover with ball finials".
