The Victoria County History (Northampton, vol. 3, 1930) writes; "to the east of the south doorway a groined niche for a stoup, the supporting half-octagonal shaft of which still remains." Noted in Mee (1945) as a holy-water stoup of the same age as the font [15th century?] located by the south doorway. [cf. Index entry fro Islip (Nhants) no. 1 for the baptismal font]
