Font Notes:
Parker (1849) writes: "The font is octagonal and has a flower on each side (in a hollow moulding between the bason and the shaft) of Perpendicular character." Noted in Mee (1945): "The 15th century font has flowers on its eight sides." In Pevsner & Cherry (1973): "Plain, octagonal, Perp[endicualr]. On the underside of the bowl fleurons." [NB: the fabric of the building goes back to Norman times, but we have no information of the earlier font of this church]
