Scene Description: Source caption: "Church of St Mary, Bosley. Originally a chapel of ease for the church at Prestbury. The tower is the earliest part of the church, dating from the 16th century, the upper storey being modified with a brick parapet and stone crenellation in 1878-9 when new bells were installed. The brick nave was built in 1777 replacing a timber framed building of the 14th and 15th centuries, and the chancel was added in 1834. Listed Grade II"
