No font mentioned in Glynne (1877). The Otford Society Newsletter [www.otford.info/otfordsociety/newsletter_2004oct.pdf] for October 2004 notes that "In the Kent County archives there is a manuscript description of the church in 1840 by a surveyor, Mr. W.P. Griffith [...] The font in 1840 was wooden, with a pyramidal cover, so the present stone font and its ornate Jacobean (seventeenth-century) cover must have come later." Newman (1980) mentions the only cover: "Early C17, the finial removed." [NB: we have no information on the wooden font, but it obvious that the stone font now in this church must be 19th-century at the earliest, and therefore it is not listed in this Index]
