Noted in Newman (1980): "Font. Purbeck marble base and eight small shafts. Encircled quatrefoils on the eight faces of the bowl. A marriage of the C13 and the C15, it seems." The web site of the Parish Church [www.fawkhamandhartley.org.uk], however, notes that the font font was made between 1350 and 1400, and that it was moved in 1974 to the current location in a recess of the south wall, just west of the chancel [NB: presumably the font would have been originally nearer the south door].
