No entry found for this Newnham in the Domesday survey. Glynne (1877) notes a modern font, as well as a stoup near the north door, but gives no date or details for the latter. Noted in Newman (1976): "Font. C19, with panels of stiffleaf and a too-small stem." The entry for this church in Historic England [Listing NGR: TQ9540157627] notes: "Church. Circa 1200, extended C14 and extensively restored 1868 [...] Full set of C19 fittings including reredos, altar rails, double decker pulpit, box pews, choir stalls and benches and octagonal font." [NB: the church dates back to ca. 1200, but we have no information on the original font(s) of this church].
