Hexagonal baptismal font consisting of a rather shallow basin with a large protruding upper level, then chamfered and plain, raised on a broad plain stem, hexagonal as well; slightly widening at the lower base. Could be monolithic. The inner well of the basin is hexagonal as well and it -now- has a metal basin insert. There are marks at the angles of the upper rim surface, perhaps of an anchoring for a cover? One of the sides of the upper rim is damaged. Is it 18th- century? [We are grateful to Malcolm Watkins for the photograph of this font]
