Described in Glynne (1877): "The font is is a plain octagon, upon a shaft of the same form: the cover is of rich wood tabernacle work." Cox (1905) notes: "The plain octagon font, of a good size, is the same date as the church ; there is an elaborate lofty font-cover of later date." Newman (1976) writes: "Font and cover. Perp[endicular], the latter lofty but coarse, top-heavy and much restored. They came in 1973 from Holy Cross, Canterbury." [NB: Holy Cross' had been declared redundant at the time]
