There is an entry for Faversham [variant spelling] in the Domesday survey [https://opendomesday.org/place/TR0161/faversham/] [accessed 7 October 2023] but it mentions neither priest nor church in it. Newman (1976) writes: "Font Given in 1854. Characteristic and worthy of closer scrutiny." The entry in the Vision of Britain gazetteer [www.visionofbritain.org.uk] describes it as "a very fine modern font of alabaster and serpentine". The entry for this church in Historic England [Listing NGR: TR0182461540] mentions no font in it.
