Described in Glynne (1877): "The font has an octagonal bowl with some fair Decorated tracery on it upon a stem of like form." Noted in Newman (1976, 1980) as a baptismal font of the 14th century like the font at Hythe, in the same county: "Font. Sandstone. Octagonal, with a Dec[orated] tracery pattern repeated on seven faces."
