Hussey (1852) writes: "The church has long been desecrated [...], the interior fittings, including the font, have been taken away", and notes that the style of the building is Early English. A photograph of St. Oswald's in the English Heritage NMR archives from December 1970 [ref. BB70/09866 CD no.: 00259] has the following caption: "A redundant Norman church now in use as a barn [...]". A more recent reference [unavailable] puts the building in the care of Redundant Churches Trust, but there is no information available on the whereabouts of the missing font. [NB: not to be mistaken with Padlesworth/Paddlesworth St. Oswald's. also a small early church -- cf. Index entry]
