Font Notes:
The font at the new Church of St. Andrew falls outside the chronological range of this Index, but is listed here as a curiosity: it was made from an up-turned brass bell from Old St Andrew's, which dates from the late 19th century, ca. 1880 [NB: there is of course a precedent of sorts for this relation between bells and fonts: many of the metal fonts cast in the Middle Ages were executed by bell makers and shaped liked upturned bells]. The font cover has a handle made from the old closing ring door handle. [NB: we have no information on the earlier church here, if any]
