Not mentioned in The Ecclesiastical and Architectural Topography of England: Oxfordshire (1850). Noted in the Victoria County History (Oxford, vol. 10, 1972): "The font is ancient, but of indeterminate date." Described in Sherwood & Pevsner (1974): "Octagonal, each face with a moulded frame. C14?". Baptismal font consisting of an octagonal basin with tapering sides raised on a multi-block circular stem; the sides of the basin are decorated with plain rectangular panels; the upper rim of the basin is stepped (and damaged at several spots); low-dome octagonal wooden cover.
