Holy-water stoup noted in the Royal Commission on Historical Monuments (Essex, 1916-1923): "In nave--E. of S. doorway, recess with roughly plastered two-centred head, bowl broken, early 16th-century." [NB: the RCHM (ibid.) notes that the fabric of the church goes back to the 13th century or earlier, but we have no information on the original font of this church]
