Livesey (1931) [in 'Basildon History', www.basildon.com/history/churches/smaas2.html], who was rector at Langdon Hills St. Mary & All Angels' noted: "A font was bought in 1834 for £3.14, and this is now [i.e., ca. 1931] in the Church Institute." Livesey (ibid.) notes also a late-medieval font received from the recot of Bulphan [cf. Index entries for Langdon Hills No. 1 and Bulphan]
