Noted in the Royal Commission on Historical Monuments (Essex, 1916-1923): "Font: stem with trefoiled panelled sides, possibly 15th-century, bowl and base modern. Not mentioned in Bettley & Pevsner (2007). [NB: the font at nearby St. Nicholas', in Castle Hedingham, in the same benefice, is modern]
