The is no font noted in the Royal Commission on Historical Monuments (Essex, 1916-1923), but the church plan in the same source indicates the presence of a font at the west end of the north aisle [this church has a north as well as a south porch and entrance]. [NB: since the RCHM does not usually record the late furnishings, we assume that the current font is a replacement of the original which would date from ca. 1300, like the fabric of the building]
