The entry for this church in Historic England [List Entry Number: 1123775] notes: "A roughly-hewn square bowl at the W end seems most unlikely to have been a font." An anonymous article in the Creeksea Place site [www.creekseaplace.co.uk/history.pdf] notes: "The square stone bowl of the original font, believed to date from the year 1125, was found on the Cricksea glebe being used as a step to the barn."
