Gough (1792) writes: "Burbach [sic] font is octagon; on three sides are the arms of Hastings, Stafford, and Chawell; on the others, Gothic tracery." Noted and illustrated in Nichols (1875-1811). Noted and illustrated in Upcott (1818). In Pevsner (1984): "Font. Probably C14, octagonal, with square panels with tracery, quatrefoils, and shields." [see also entry for Aston Flamville, Leics]
