Noted in Barnes (1891): "the bowl of the font, which appears to have been re-cut" which, together with an arch of the same date, is all that remains of the old church [NB: the new one is described in Barnes (ibid.) as "of 13th century character", i.e., a Victorian version of a 13th-century font from the rebuilding by Decimus Burton -- not listed in this Index]
