Noted in the Enciclopedia del románico en Castilla-La Mancha: Guadalajara (2009) as a baptismal font of the 13th century somewhat similar to those at Brihuega and Villaescusa de Palositos [cf. Index entries], although a cruder version of those. The round basin has broad ribs topped with round arch-heads, raised on a broad stem; without a lower base. The wooden cover is round, flat and plain; modern. Noted and illustrated in the Inventario Románico [www.amigosdelromanico.org/inventario/espana/castilla-lamancha/guadalajara/] [accessed 26 January 2021]: "La pila se decora con abultados gallones rematados con arcos de medio punto, resultando su talla un tanto tosca si la comparamos con la de otras pilas alcarreñas."
