Font Notes:
Barnes (1891) notes the presence in this church of a modern font already. The Dorset Historic Churches Trust [http://dorsethistoricchurchestrust.co.uk] [accessed 9 January 2006] illustrates a baptismal font consisting of a square basin with vertical sides decorated with three trefoil arches on each side, raised on a five-column base and square lower base; it appears Victorian, althouh the lower base may be the original (?). [NB: the fabric of this church dates back probably to Norman times, but we have no information of the earlier font(s) of this church]
