Noted in the 3rd ed. of Hutchins (1973 c1861-1874): "The font, of Purbeck marble, has an octagonal bowl on a niched pedestal with trefoiled heads sculptured above it." In Newman & Pevsner (1972): "Font. Octagonal, Perp[endicular], with simple panelling." Illustrated in The Dorset Historic Churches Trust [http://dorsethistoricchurchestrustco.uk]: the font is located in the west end of the nave, on the south side, near the south entrance; it consists of an octagonal basin with vertical sides, each decorated with a pair of trefoil (?) arches; chamfered underbowl; octagonal stem decorated with a trefoil arch chamfer on each side; moulded splaing lower base; the wooden font cover is octagonal, plain and appears modern.
