Noted and illustrated in All Saints (1990), with date 1857-1858. Noted in Blatch (1995): "The fine marble font was a gift from the Marquess of Sligo." The font is typically Victorian, with an octagonal basin decorated with pointed arches with angels within, the spandrels of the arches with large decorative motifs; central shaft with clustered colonnettes on the base, over an octagonal lower base or plinth. 'A brief guide' pamphlet [undated -- ca. 1995?] from the Parish notes: "The original canopy, a steeple in oak and brass, was suspended from an ornate iron arch. All was lost by the end of the 19th century and was replaced by a simple wooden lid [NB: an etching of the font and cover has survived -- cf. Images area]
