Noted in the 3rd ed. of Hutchins (1973 c1861-1874): "The font has a round bowl, on a circular stem and square step." In The Dorset Historic Churches Trust [http://dorsethistoricchurchestrust.co.uk/kingtonmagna.htm]: the font consists of a plain cylindrical basin, raised on a cylindrical pedestal decorated with roll mouldings at the ends, on a square lower base. Flat wooden cover with metal ornamentation, and like the font, probably from the Victorian re-make of this church in the 1860s [NB: part of the church goes back at least to the 15th century, but we have no information on the earlier font(s) of this church]
