Notes in the 3rd ed. of Hutchins (1973 c1861-1874) simply as "an ancient font". Listed in Long (1923) as baptismal font of the Perpendicular period. Mee (1939) notes simply "an ancient font." In Newman & Pevsner (11972): "Font. Octagonal. Perp[endicular], defaced." In The Dorset Historic Churches Trust [http://dorsethistoricchurchestrust.co.uk/ibberton.htm] as a baptismal font of the 15th century.
