There are two entries for Frickley [variant spellings] in the Domesday survey [http://opendomesday.org/place/SE4608/frickley/] [accessed 8 November 2018], one of which reports a priest and a church in it. Morris (1932) notes: "Plain octagonal font -- it is said to be of the 14th century?". The entry for this church in Historic England [Listing NGR: SE4684907882] notes: "Church. C12 chancel arch, C13 north aisle, tower c1300 otherwise with much C19 alteration. [...] Medieval font: octagonal with broach-stopped base." Not mentioned in Harman & Pevsner (2017).
