There is an entry for Badsworth [variant spelling] in the Domesday survey [http://opendomesday.org/place/SE4614/badsworth/] [accessed 2 October 2018]; it reports a priest and a church in it. There is no mention of a font in Glynne's notes of his visit on 6 November 1869 (Butler, 2007). Morris (1932) reports a "Late 14th-century font" here Pevsner (1986 c1967) and Harman & Pevsner, 2017) note: "Font. Big, octagonal, Perp[endicular]. With tracery panels [...] from Barnsley Parish Church".
