There is an entry for Worsborough [variant spelling] in the Domesday survey [http://opendomesday.org/place/SE3503/worsborough/] [accessed 5 December 2018] but it mentions neither cleric nor church in it. Glynne's 5 December 1862 visit to this church (in Butler, 2007) notes: "The font octagonal on an octagonal stem, penelled." Morris (1932) notes it as a font of the Restoration period dated by an inscription to 1662 but, "with much Gothic feeling for its date". Mee (1941) just writes: "The font is 1662." The entry for this church in Historic England [List Entry Number: 1315083] notes: "Church. Traces of C12 chancel otherwise C14 and C15, aisles remodelled in 1838 by J. P. Pritchett. [...] Font: broach-stopped base, octagonal with Gothic side panels and date '1662'. "
