The Historic Churches Preservation Trust mentions simply a "good square font" in this church [source: 'Recent Grants' issue of the Grants Cttee. Meeting of 13 September 2005, www.historicchurches.org.uk]. Noted and illustrated in The Gloucestershire Photo Library [http://www.allthecotswolds.com/] [accessed 5 January 2008]: "good square stone font, circa 1850". The sides of the basin are decorated with Greek crosses inscribed in circles. [NB: this same source notes that the fabric of Stratton St. Peter's goes back to Norman times, but we have no information on the original font of this church]
