There is an entry for Trysull [variant spelling] in the Domesday survey [https://opendomesday.org/place/SO8594/trysull/] [accessed 20 June 2025]; itmentions neither priest nor church in it. The Historic Churches Preservation Trust notes a "16th century: stone font" in this church [source: 'Recent Grants' issue of the Grants Cttee. Meeting of 13 September 2005, in www.historicchurches.org.uk]. The font, illustrated in the Parish web site, albeit with a too-early dating to the 13th century, [http://trysullandseisdon.co.uk], consists of an octagonal basin with vertical sides decorated with a quatrefoil-in-a-circle window, and a graded chamfer on the underbowl, raised on a short octagonal stem and a a moulded splaying lower base; flat wooden cover with metal ring handle, appears modern.
